Our mission
To promote early detection, provide emotional and practical support to cancer patients and caregivers, and accelerate community awareness that prevents late-stage diagnoses.
Mariada Cancer Care Foundation was established by Dr. Ada Chinda, a cancer survivor who faced significant emotional and financial difficulties during her journey, compounded by the loss of her mother, Maria Ugochukwu. This loss inspired her to honor her mother's legacy through service to others. The foundation aims to raise awareness, provide emotional support, and improve access to care for underserved communities affected by cancer, ensuring that no one faces this battle alone.

During Ada's treatment journey, she and her daughter Dr. Sarima discovered how stigma, distance, and rising medical bills force families to abandon lifesaving care. They transformed their grief into action by building a foundation that honors Maria's legacy of kindness and Sarima's devotion as a caregiver.
Mariada bridges science with compassion. We collaborate with clinicians, survivor mentors, and health advocates to make accurate information, screening, and practical support available in underserved communities. Our work is woven through listening circles, mobile clinics, and partnerships that remove barriers to early detection.
